New Restaurant Seating for Mercedes AMG HPP

Aerofoil Design are proud to have recently completed the supply, delivery and installation of more than 180 new cafe-style chairs for our long-time customer, Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (MAHPP).

The “Pitstop Restaurant” is a heavily-used restaurant for hundreds of their staff and management, and is also used for external visitors.

MAHPP decided to replace their existing restaurant chairs, having been in place for more than 15 years. The new restaurant chairs supplied by Aerofoil, were a more cost-effective option than buying the existing chair model again, which made great financial sense, especially as they are supplied with a five-year guarantee.

These Cafe chairs feature a black laminated beech plywood shell with chrome legs and soft felt pads on the feet, and are both strong and stylish.

In fact, the customer struck a deal with the original supplier to take back their existing chairs for repair and refurbishment,  and for the supplier to then supply them to local schools. A great initiative and good environmental story.

Keeping Active and Working

Most of us are moving around much less than we used to and working from home has reduced our movements even further. Many of us haven’t been travelling to our workplaces like we used to. We are simply travelling the journey from our bedrooms, to the kitchen for hot drinks and snacks, and back to our chosen work space again, where we remain until we retire to the sofa in the evening. Of course there will be those who have strict exercise regimes, and those who choose to exercise indoors, even a simple walk around the block will help, but the reality is, things have changed.

You may now be suffering from lower back pain, or aching muscles from sitting in bad positions due to working from home, but there are many ways we can assist. Yes, correct ergonomic seating will help, but the human skeleton is not designed for prolonged sitting, and it has been proven that if you change your position throughout the day, it generally leads to a much healthier situation.

Sit-Stand, or height adjustable desks are a great way of doing this, either at home in your current home office, or in your main workplace when you return. We have various different options available, some are driven by electric motors others by crank handles. We may even be able to use your existing desktop and just supply a new frame.

What about if you could keep moving, and exercise whilst sitting and working? Fitness seating is a great way of doing this. We have this type of seating in the office ourselves and use them daily. An Exercise Ball Stool can improve your posture and balance, and also strengthen your core muscles. You could even sit on it when reading a book, or watching TV!

Aerofoil Design are happy to advise on how you can improve your movements whilst working. Visit our website or contact us so we can find a solution for you, and ultimately, improve your working life and your health.

Working From Home Safely

With times changing and many of us now having to spend more time working from home, it is essential that we revisit the productivity of our home work spaces.

Do you have a “Workplace” at home? Is it well equipped and organised? Can you move freely around it and does it provide convenient storage?
Most importantly, can you sit and work comfortably for long periods of time?

Pulling out a dining chair might seem like the easy option but good posture is a must and this is impossible without the correct seating.

Creating an attractive workspace and changing the way we work from home will not only improve mood and productivity, it is necessary for our health. If your employer requires you to work from home, they still have a Duty of Care and a Responsibility to ensure your health and safety.

We specialise in providing solutions for Home Workers and Small Home Based Businesses, and have found that furniture requirements differ enormously.
You may need a place to catch up with emails quickly or need to position a stylish workstation amongst living space, no two spaces are the same and we can office guidance and advice on what can be achieved within your home and your budget.
